We met Lynn while browsing an open house in our neighborhood and were immediately impressed with her enthusiasm, knowledge, and familiarity with the area. A year later, we had the opportunity to relocate out of state and needed to sell our home. We had saved Lynn’s card and immediately called her to set up a meeting.

We were worried about the downturn the housing market was taking but when Lynn came to discuss listing our home, she was prepared with comparables and data that made us feel comfortable knowing our home would be sold, even if it took some time to find the right buyer. She gave us suggestions, both big and small, on how to improve our home, keeping our budget in mind.

Lynn gave us the knowledge and tools to prepare our home for sale. Simple touches like placing wine and glasses on the patio table or adding scented candles in the home were small things that made a big improvement. She even provided contractors, painters, plumbers, and other contacts to help with bigger improvements. When the photographer came, Lynn played the role of art director, making sure that every shot showcased the positive features of each room. We explained that we were both professionals with two small children, so that open houses and showings would have to be set up in advance. Lynn was always very accommodating and sensitive to our situation. She was extremely flexible and always picked up her phone during the process – no matter how many times or how late we called!

After about a month on the market, we met with Lynn do to a status check. Again, Lynn showed us comparable home sales in tremendous detail and we felt more at ease. The one comment that stuck with us was when Lynn said “I believe in your home”. That made us really feel that she was taking her job and our situation very seriously. An offer on our home came about 2 months after listing. Lynn walked us through the process seamlessly and made sure that we knew and understood everything that we were signing. Even though it was a buyers’ market, Lynn helped us negotiate strongly and made sure that we were getting the best return possible on our sale. Rather than do paperwork in a dark office, we ordered in pizza and Lynn came to our home, knowing that it was hard for us to leave since we have kids. In addition to being a complete professional, Lynn is just someone you want to “hang out” with.

To prepare for closing, Lynn provided us with her inspection contacts, plumber, and other vendors to make sure the minor repairs were done in a timely, high quality manner. When we were out of town, she even came over to water our plants and check on the house!

We can’t fully put into words how great our experience working with Lynn was, especially in such a slow housing market. Lynn was never overwhelmed or stressed (at least she didn’t show it!).
